Im gettin a tattoo on my wrist this week and as I have no flesh there is it going to hurt? I have ones on my back n hip which werent too bad but Im scared this is gonna be agony.

He didn't even laugh when I was wincing in pain (wrist tattoos REALLY hurt FYI). Oh and I am pretty happy (little sore) with my new tattoo too.

Had back and shoulder done, no pain - ankle was a different matter - really hurt, expect wrist may be the same - mind over matter tho - good luck
Hello I have recently got a star tattoo n my hand and that friggin hurt. And like u said theres not much skin on the wrist but more bone which is where t I think hurts most. but not to worry you can buy a numbing cream over the counter at an chemist called Ametop it does work on most body parts but theres no gaurantee. Hope this helps and Im soon to get a wrist tattoo so ill share the pain with ya lol

I have one that goes all around my wrist, from the base of my hand, about 5 inches up my arm. And let me tell you the wrist is a strange area for sensations, some places did not hurt at all, other places like on the pinky side by my hand hurt more than child birth. But, as I remember it the inner wrist didn't really hurt, it just felt weird putting all that pressure on my tendons & veins.
Also one thing to keep in mind... every job I have had for the past 16 years i've been limited to wearing long sleeves to cover it up (boo on corperate america)
My opinion, unless you love long sleeves, or you are going into a proffession that does not deal with the public, or they just don't care...get it somewhere that will be eaiser to cover up.
It will hurt, but try to focus on something while the tattoo is being done, like, when mine was being done, the guy had pictures on the wall, and I concentrated on those... Or take your mp3 player, or a friend with you. The tattoo may really hurt for 2-3 days after wards, it may feel like a bruise or a burn, that's normal.
the wrists tend to hurt a lot and bleed sometimes. but once its over you'll be so glad you went through with it.
yes it will HURT i got both wrists done, and it was ouch ouch ouch all the way, and the one on my foot killed me, all the rest i got well pain is pain i even had me lips done a liner round them, oh please that was PAINFULL. Good luck. x
Erm I'm not sure i hvnt used the gel yet as I'm OK with the pain at the mo but my sis used it and it has had no effect as far as I'm aware. But I'm sure you will be fine though. Have fun Report Abuse
