Agreed, I would demonstrate if your photos were OK to edit. I was thinking it might need a closer crop on the left to match (just slightly so). I think you get the idea.

It's a scan from a slide. That's how it was.
I like the color version better too. Cool shot!
I like the color one better. And I think that the white balance is better as it is because it gives it a nice atmosphere. Both versions are great though.
