What's the fastest way to get to Shibuya from Narita airport? ?
Published by: webmaster 2009-01-08

  • I'm staying at the Granbell Shibuya which is a short walk from Shibuya station as it states online. I would prefer the cheapest route possible but I don't want to get lost!

  • Yikes..the express to Shibuya will set you back about $30.
If you don't mind the transfer, take JR to Tokyo or Shinagawa Station then transfer to a regular train to Shibuya.
Narita -> Tokyo (JR Rapid 1280 yen...not the Narita express for 2940, and only 20 minute difference)
Tokyo -> Shibuya (JR Yamanote line about 300 yen)

Shinagawa is closer to Shibuya, but you'd use the Yamanote again to get to Shibuya.
You're not transfering between different companies so it's the same station. Just make sure you get the Yamanote going in the right direction. That line is a big circle, so you'd get there eventually, but 4 stops is better than 20.

    Have fun!

  • JR's Narita Express stops at Shibuya. You could save a little bit of money by taking the Keisei Skyliner, but it would be a bit of a hassle to switch trains at Nippori/Ueno.

  • Airport Limousine
if going to a hotel i think search it

  • The CHEAPEST Route:

    1.
Narita Airport to NIPPORI Station using the KEISEI LIMITED EXPRESS

At Narita Airport there is Japan Railways (JR) and Keisei Railways. Take Keisei, not JR.

(I repeat the KEISEI LIMITED EXPRESS) not the Skyliner and NOT JR Narita Express.

The trip takes about 1hr 20mins, and costs 1000yen.

    2. When you get to NIPPORI STATION, change to the JR YAMANOTE LINE (going in the direction of Ikebukuro) to Shibuya Station. Travel time about 30mins cost: 190 yen.

COST IN THE END 1190 yen.

    ---
If you took the Narita Express the other person noted, only few Narita Express go to Shibuya direct, and the cost is 3500yen, obviously not the cheapest possible route.
The problem with the JR Rapid the other poster mentioned, is there is only ONE an hour, so if you miss the one at the top of the hour, you got to wait a whole hour for the next one, there are more Keisei trains then JR trains, plus Keisei is cheaper.

  • Nobody understands...any help please?
50 points for someone willing to do this!!!!!!!!!!?
