The serial number might come in handy in this case :) Is there a page in the Apple site that gives a detailed rundown of a machine by entering the serial number?
If you do a Google search using the terms "iMac G5 110v" you'll find several discussions that seem to indicate a batch of iMac G5s made for the US and Canada with 110v-only power supplies, and even a thread about accidentally plugging a 110v iMac into a 220v outlet (http://www.macworld.com/forums/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=446703&Main=446665).
Best to provide more details about your specific iMac model ... date of purchase, proc speed, monitor size, etc. so we can see if we can narrow it down.
Your G5 is probably 110v, according to this web page (http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=75099) ... better find out for sure before using a 220v outlet. got it now, mine is 110-240v so it's autovolt. I found it undeneath near the serial number...
Here's my suggestion: bring it to an ASP and have them check it for you. If they say it's auto voltage, tell them to prove it to you by plugging it into a 220v outlet. If they blow the power supply, it's their problem. :)

iMac g5 ambient light sensor auto-swithching daw? now im not sure anymore. I looked at the back but wala namang sign or something..
???
My early production G5 iMac (20", 1.8Ghz) bought in the States is marked 100 - 120V. The "spec" sheet for my iMac series says the power requirement depends on the country of purchase. I BELIEVE all other G5 iMacs are multi voltage.

Mine went in for a power supply swap a year ago and I wonder which power supply I actually have now.

Shouldn't it have some kind of information printed at the back of the machine - somewhere near where the AC cable socket should be? I'd also check the manual (usually the last pages have the power information)
I just checked MacTracker (http://mactracker.ca/). According to their database, with the exception of the flat panels (iMac G4), all iMacs have a voltage rating of 100~240V AC. The flat panels have a rating of 90~264V AC.
IOW, all of them are auto-volt.

I think ill follow your suggestion if only i have a portable then ill go straight to ASP but well seems like this is the best option..
BTW its 20inch g5 1.8 superdrive...
