Value of commerces in Montreal, Canada
Published by: rose 2009-01-08

  • Presently, I live in a appartment in Montreal (Quebec, Canada) with a commerce in the same building. The owner of the building (and the mentionned commerce) said that I must pay a additioanl percentage fee for the maintenance of that commerce. However, he systematiquely refused to tell me how much that commerce's worth presently. To make sure I would not be robbed, I need to know how much (per squared feet) a commerce is worth in the Montreal Island. If more precision is necessary, it's in the district of Emard / Cote-St-Paul (South-West area). I would gladly accept either a direct answer or all the necessary ways to find that information. • I kept your recommendations and informations in with that as a start, I did additionnal researches and I asked the Regie du Logement to help me in that matter. There will be a supervised evaluation between me and the landlord/onwer very soon. With the infos I now have, I already know now that he did tried to steal from me with a unecessary high rent increase overall and it will show up during the evaluation process. You give a excellent and complete answer. Thanks
