I have been noticing that AC H fares have been available between YVR and LHR which are, of course, upgradable with a regular cert.
Now it seems that all of the fares for Mar through the summer are either L or Q which need a SSWG cert. Is Cam maybe referring to H low season fare and L high season fare being around the same price?
I guess I got the idea because they were precisely the same $$$ on the AC web site one week ago. Is that proof enough???????
maybe an AC website fare error?
Since the hierarchy of overseas fares range from N (new lowest, non-status mile fare)
Seems Aeroplan has finally updated the earnings pages for AC flights and it looks like N will be getting no points period, along with G K R P classes, aka "Tourist". There's a month or two of breathing room before N joins the others as a non accrual class. AC's page also looks to be updated - mention of mileage accrual on the description for Tourist fares has totally vanished, with the only mention of miles being for booking.

Hm... and when was all this going to be "announced"? *sigh*
where did you ever get the idea that L and H were the same fare levels?

L and H were not the same last week. L has always been (and still) cheaper than H.
Since the hierarchy of overseas fares range from N (new lowest, non-status mile fare) to L (seat sale low fare) to Q (regular status mile lowest fare), then to V and the SWU upgradeable H, and from there to B and M and Y, where did you ever get the idea that L and H were the same fare levels? A look at the old and new upgrade certs will clearly show this hierarchy.
Well, there was some wacky stuff going on earlier today where it listed "---" on the entire page after entering city pairs sometimes.
Nobody understands...any help please?
50 points for someone willing to do this!!!!!!!!!!?
