Point 1. Vehicles now in the US (2005).
Reliable and accurate information for 2005 is not available. I could
have provided all sorts of estimates and guesses which range from 175
million to 250 million. Also these figures may not include all types
of vehicles. I believe that you wanted accurate information which is
why I gave you that information. It is the last most comprehensive
US-wide data available. If you wish me to give you unreliable
information, then I will.
Point 2. ?Also I need to know how and where you get your answer.?
As I stated in my first paragraph of my answer, the information comes
from the United States Bureau of Transportation Statistics. The links
I provided to the information seem to have now expired. I have re-done

On the right of that click>Analysis
You will then see the data.
