Hey all I'm new to these fourms so please excuse any mistakes. 2 friends and myself are going to LA and Vegas in late Jan. We are flying to Lax then driving to Vegas for 4 days then back to LA for the rest of the week. I am trying to get a Chrysler Pacifica to rent for the week, but seem to have problems with trying to secure one. I have called Thrifty at there 1800 number and also the Lax number, I have found out that they do have the Pacifica at the Lax location but, this is where i am getting the run around.
Some agents tell me that the Pacifica is only an upgrade vehical in other words if your nice or they feel like it they will give you the Pacifica. While another agent tells me that corp. is takeing over this location and that it will be in a class of it's own ie: economy, compact, mid size, full size, premium, Pacifica, etc. anyone know or heard what is goin on? The only other company i know of that rents the Pacifica is National and it is about $100.00 more for the week if i rent a premium car. And also is Thrift really that bad.
