Is Staying at Home Safe?
Published by: smith 2009-01-08

  • How many Americans are killed or injured in accidents at home?

  • Q. Is Staying at Home Safe?

    A. Not if home is Kabul or Kandahar. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

  • Well, in your case, living under that big old rock, there are all manner of critters that could pose a hazard. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

  • Actually, most people die being poisoned by their own saliva.

But doctors tell us not to worry, as it is only harmful when swallowed in small quantities over long periods of time.

It depends whose home you are staying and with whom! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

  • Fying is statistically safer than teaching school! Flying is safer than being a firefighter. Flying is safer than being a police officer. Flying is safer (far safer) than being a commercial fisherman.

Puts things into perspective, doesn't it?

  • Nobody dies healthy.

  • Koko - I'm shaking my head - no hope for you http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

  • So a doctor gives a man six months to live...

Wait, this isn't the Henny Youngman tribute board??

  • As Rudi likes to point out: The most likely place you will die is in your bed.

That explains why I spend so much time in other people's. (rim shot)
