This Orlando holiday, prepare for an instant dose of winter – and the coolest on record in Florida – at the Gaylord Palms Resort’s very own ICE! In its fifth season, this spectacle made from nearly two million pounds of ice will reflect the name “Holiday Road Trip” and will feature several new and revised scenes including an oversized igloo and a gigantic candy house that appears to be right out of Candy Land.
Other features at ICE Orlando will include Winter Wonderland, North Pole and Frostproof Florida. As a guest favorite, the ICE! castle and slides have been redesigned to reflect a South Pole locale with a colony of penguins surrounding the longest ice slide in the attraction’s history as an Orlando holiday event.
The signature scene at ICE Orlando, a breathtaking life-size Nativity carved completely of crystal-clear ice, has been described as one of the most breathtaking depictions of the birth of Christ. Dramatic new lighting and a stirring narrative track will ensure guests will continue to pause and reflect on the story behind the season each Orlando holiday.
Make sure you put away your flip-flops, as ICE Orlando is a chilly 9 degrees! But don’t worry, all guests are provided with calf-length, hooded winter coats to keep them warm. Coats are available in all sizes, including children and infants. For maximum comfort, guests should be sure to wear long pants and closed-toed shoes. ICE! is open daily, including every Orlando holiday.
